.: Jan Shapters 1/72 Santa Fe Depot

Built in 1913, the Portales depot was based on the standard brick county seat style, but differed in the treatment of the bay window and the stucco exterior. The photo to the right reflects 1986, around the time the depot closed. At last report, it was still standing, boarded up and unused.
