.: Welcome to our Website

Based in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Australia, the Eastern Suburbs Scale Modelling Club seeks to develop the hobby of scale modelling throughout the local community and enhance the skills of its members

The club meets on the first Tuesday of every month at the Box Hill community arts centre in Station Street Box Hill.

Meetings begin at 7.30pm and run for a couple of hours - tea and biscuits are provided. We also raffle off kits and modelling related bits and pieces.

Club members present discussions on various topics related to (and sometimes unrelated to) modelling  - and things are never taken too seriously. Time for Q & A is often set aside allowing members to get advice on the many techniques used in the hobby

Whilst the club sees competitions as a way for modellers to benchmark their skills it holds none of its own. A large area is set aside at each meeting for members to display completed projects, works in progress, recent kit purchases or anything of interest - and it is always filled. Most members display their work regardless of their skill in the knowledge that friendly, constructive advice is the harshest criticism they are likely to receive.

The club organises trips to museums - last year members went to Wangaratta and fluked a visiting F18 Hornet waiting to be fueled up on the runway.

So if you would like to join a friendly bunch of modellers who are keen to share their ideas, techniques and a joke or two please drop us a line or just come along - visitors and new members are most welcome.
